Love Made Visible

Feeding our neighbors with dignity, love, and shared hope
At Christ Episcopal Church, our Hunger Ministries offer both nourishment and connection. Through the Red Door Food Pantry and our Monthly Community Meal, we serve individuals and families in Cape Girardeau who are facing food insecurity.

The Red Door Food Pantry

Located inside Christ Episcopal Church (101 N. Fountain St.), our pantry is open:
  • Sundays: 12:00–1:00 PM
  • Thursdays: 10:00–11:30 AM
We are a small, community-centered pantry serving our neighbors with boxes based on household size. Each box includes:
  • Non-perishable items to make several meals
  • Frozen meat (when available)
  • Fresh produce (especially when our neighbors share from their gardens)
We are supported by generous donations, the annual Scouting for Food Drive, and our partners at the SEMO Food Bank.

Monthly Community Meal
Held the last Sunday of every month from 4:30–5:30 PM, our free Sunday Supper is open to all.
Join us in the Parish Hall for a warm, homemade meal — or pick up a carry-out meal to take home.
If you or your organization would like to sponsor or provide a meal, please contact the church office at 573-335-2997.

Special Holiday Meal
Each year, in addition to having special themed pantries and take-outs on the Thursday of Thanksgiving and the Sunday of Easter, we also host a free Christmas Day meal, open to anyone who would like to celebrate in community. It’s one of our most joyful and meaningful days of service.
