At Christ Episcopal Church, you’ll find a community rooted in faith, hospitality, connection, and real belonging in Downtown Cape Girardeau.
Here’s what a Sunday with us is really like.
Our Service
Worship lasts about an hour and follows a traditional yet accessible Episcopal liturgy (Rite II).
What to Wear
Come exactly as you are. You'll see everything from Sunday best to casual jeans.
Families & Kids
Children are fully welcome. We embrace the sounds and joyful presence of kids in worship.
Open Table
We believe this is Christ's table, not ours—all are welcome to receive communion.
What Happens
We pray, sing, hear Scripture, and share in communion together. You’re free to participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
Coffee Hour
You're invited to stay after the 10:30 service for coffee, treats, and conversation. Some of the best connections happen around the table, and we'd love to get to know you.
Love Thy Neighbor
Church doesn’t stop on Sunday morning.
You’ll find us out in Downtown Cape Girardeau sharing meals, building relationships, and showing up for our neighbors.
Food Pantry
Providing food, care, and connection for our neighbors.
Thursdays: 10:00–11:30 AM
Sundays: 12:00–1:00 PM
All are welcome.
Community Meals
A free meal shared in community. Chat if you like or just enjoy your meal.
Last Sunday of each month: 4:30–5:30 PM
Everyone is welcome at the table.
