- The Cape County Public Health Center Board of Trustees has voted unanimously to lift the county-wide mask mandate that has been in effect for almost eight months. The Health Center strongly encourages residents to continue wearing face masks, and masks will continue to be required for entry into any building on CEC church property, per guidelines from the Diocese of Missouri. - The CEC Congregational Regathering Committee has issued an updated recommendation to the Vestry regarding a return to in-person worship. Click here to read the statement.
- Statement from the Christ Episcopal Church COVID-19 Response Team: Though the infectious rate of Cape Girardeau County has been declining for several days and the COVID-19 infection rate is currently at 0.86%, the holiday season and slow roll-out of the COVID-19 vaccine poses a continued need for caution. The committee recommends that Christ Episcopal Church remain closed to congregational regathering and keep services completely virtual until at least February 7, 2021. The committee will re-evaluate the infectious rates the first week of February 2021 and make a recommendation to the Vestry at that time.

- Due to a surge in COVID cases in Cape County, CEC will cease broadcasting live services from our sanctuary until further notice. Beginning on Sunday, Nov. 22, services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Zoom, and at 10:30 a.m. on Facebook Live.
